How do I choose the right artist for my tattoo idea?
Start with the work. Look through each artist's portfolio and find the hand whose style already looks like what you have in mind, rather than asking someone to work outside their strengths. If you are unsure, book a free consultation and we will point you to the right person, even if that is not the artist you first asked for.
Can I see more of an artist's work before booking?
Yes. Each artist page carries a selected portfolio, and most of the team post recent work on Instagram between updates here.
Do all artists work with custom designs?
Yes. Custom work is the default at North Ink. You bring the idea and references, the artist draws it, and you approve the drawing before any needle touches skin.
How far in advance should I book an appointment?
It depends on the artist and the size of the piece. Small work can sometimes happen within the week, larger custom projects usually need more notice. Ask when you enquire and we will tell you honestly.
Can I request a consultation before committing to a session?
Always, and it is free. The consultation is where size, placement, style and price get settled, so nothing on the day is a surprise.
